5 year Anniversary of ABSOLUTE ANHEDONIA & Announcement Of My New Novel (THE LOST GENERATION)
Happy Halloween!
Today is a special day: it’s the 5 year anniversary of my beloved novel, Absolute Anhedonia. Nobody really cares about me, only a handful of people have read it, I don’t make a living off my writing, and it requires insanity to keep pursuing at an artistic venture that isn’t rewarding me financially….but nevertheless: I am very proud of it.
I was 23 when I wrote it, and looking back now it’s kinda funny to read what the world was like 5 years ago. It doesn’t even feel that long ago, yet so much has changed. The ship was only beginning to sink at that point, and that feeling and overall vibe kinda seeps through the book in a humorous way. Life in North America back then felt like you were drowning, now life kinda feels like you’re completely submerged and living in a third world country or some shit. Please buy the book here if you haven’t done so yet, and if you have please leave a 5-star review on Amazon (it helps).
Moving on, I’m proud to announce that my newest novel, THE LOST GENERATION, will be coming out this November. It’s about a group of young people (specifically: millennials) who grow up and later struggle to make anything meaningful of their lives as the economy and world shits the bed. They say you should “write what you know,” and if there has been any benefit from experiencing what I have the last few years, at least I got a good novel out of it. I can honestly and sincerely say that it is the best thing I’ve written to date. I cannot wait to share it with you.
I hope you enjoy it, and I’ll probably update again when it’s ready. I am also still working on the “Meaningless Magazine” compilation book (that includes new essays, etc), which I hope to make available within the same timeframe as THE LOST GENERATION.
Anyway, stay safe and sane! Cheers :)
